Student Government Association
The SGA provides student representation in college governance. 

Student Government Elections run April 6 - April 21. 

ALL Positions are open: Presidential Ticket (President & Chief of Staff), Budget Director, Events Coordinator, Historian, Publicity Coordinator, and Student Senate; Residence Hall, Apartments, Off-Campus, Auto Restoration, Athletics, and General Student. 

This year SGA is requiring a Presidential Ticket. Meaning the President and Chief of Staff will be elected as a team. If you run for one of these positions you MUST have a running mate. 

TIMELINE: 

APPLICATIONS are open from MONDAY, APRIL 6 - SUNDAY, APRIL 12: 

• Executive Positions 
• Student Senate Positions 

The SGA Advisor with check GPA, signatures, and any other requirements needed. After application materials are reviewed, you (the candidate) will receive an email by 8PM Sunday, April 12 stating if you are set to proceed to the next step. 

Signature forms: Send your link to students to get endorsed.

• Executive Positions: Collect 25 Unique Signatures. A student cannot sign for the same position twice. If this happens both endorsements will be declined.

• Student Senate: You must collect 15 unique signatures from students that represent your faction. A student cannot sign for the same position twice. If this happens both endorsements will be declined.

  • Automotive Restoration Senator

CAMPAIGNING runs MONDAY, APRIL 13 - SUNDAY, APRIL 19: 

Once your application is approved you can start campaigning on Monday, April 13. Get your name and your message out! Convince your student body that you will represent them! 

Your message has to be positive and about YOU -- it should NOT be negative about your opponent. 

A DEBATE will be held on THURSDAY, APRIL 16 at 8PM if we have more than one Presidential Ticket. The debate will be held via Zoom HERE. 

VOTING will be conducted on TUESDAY, APRIL 21 from 8AM-8PM. 

All students will vote online through a third party vendor for the candidates of their choice! They MUST be connected to the internet to case their vote. A unique link will be sent to student's individual bulldog email.  

A formal ANNOUNCEMENT  of the SGA 2020-2021 Board will be announced in MC Happenings on Wednesday, April 22.
